Battery Rules: fire linking individual weapons in groups of 3 or more to achieve better fire control and
damage; no more than 10 weapon systems can be combined into a battery (see the list below for bonus's). Also linking weapon systems like this
results in less gunnery crew to operate the weapon system(s) by merging hardware and software controlling mechanisms of the weapon. This is
also the only weakness, because if one weapon gets destroyed or heavily damaged it can possibly make the entire battery group that it is in
become non-operative until repaired.
This modification can only be added to the weapon systems either during ship construction or during a major refit; if installed during a major
refit, then this can only be done at Imperial grade facilities.
- For every 3 weapons placed into a battery, that weapon system gains +2 pips to fire control and damage.
- For every 4 weapons placed into a battery, that weapon system gains +1D to fire control and damage.
- For every 5 weapons placed into a battery, that weapon system gains +1D+1 to fire control and damage.
- For every 6 weapons placed into a battery, that weapon system gains +1D+2 to fire control and damage.
- For every 8 weapons placed into a battery, that weapon system gains +2D to fire control and damage.
- For every 9 weapons placed into a battery, that weapon system gains +2D+1 to fire control and damage.
- For every 10 weapons placed into a battery, that weapon system gains +2D+2 to fire control and damage.
